S^2 Status Update
This Release is in Hardening
- Latest Symbian^2 Quality Metrics snapshot
- Good progress on pending BC breaks, only 3 pending analysis.
- Defect scrub actions being implemented - substantial impact in open defects in S^2
Open Actions for FC milestone are now satisfied:
- Nokia and Symbian agreed a SCM process to support S^2 contributions
- Delivery of “Must” TPIP Items
- LBS SUPL – delivered in pdk2.0.1
- Helix – delivered in pdk2.0.1
- EABI – included in pdk2.0.0
- Fonts – included in pdk2.0.0
- Certificates – included in pdk2.0.0
- Publishing of S^2 feature specification - DONE
- API Baseline
- API baselining process proposed to AC
- API baseline available for review on sfl/API_REF/Public_API/epoc32/
- PDK2.0.0 published in week42
S^3 Status Update
This Release is now open for Feature Submission - Release Start Approved in 2009week44. FC is planned for Late February 2010.
The Symbian Team carried a S^3 “drains-up” internal review held w06, the conclusions where:
- Code Contributions are largely on track
- EPLing of the Release is now in place
- However Several Fundamental use cases not working properly in the emulator:
- We have raised Bugs (see table of critical bugs below) and escalated the issues to the package owners
- At the moment REEs cannot be brought up due to HTI & NGA issues
- Test status:
- Dynamic BC good and comparable to S^2 (95% pass), but we have issues with getting the static analysis tools to work correctly
- SDKs
- New Proposal to be discussed with RC

The codeline is ready to move to bug fixing mode, hence no additional functionality to the already plan key features will be accepted without impact assessment. The proposal approved by the RC is to re-assess FC in the March Release Council.

- Single Tap - reductions of double tap in UI
- BT AVRCP v1.4 - Full remote control for music player via AVRCP v1.4
- CalDAVsupport - Support for caldavin single and multiple calendars

S^4 Status Update
This Release is now open for Feature Submission - Release Start Approved in 2010week01 at RC Face2Face.
Main issues pending:
- Not enough information around key items for DirectUI in package backlogs
- Non-UI Key features are being de-prioritised
